    Feigao motor question??

    I run an Etti 150 opto and a Feigao 580 8L .....On the etti, What PWM ....or motor frequency should i choose? The 8k ....16k....or 32k... I belive my motor is a 1650 kv....but not sure...Thanks for any help..

    8K suitable for most low kv Inrunner Brushless Motor and Outrunner Brushless Motors.
    16K suitable for high kv with Extremely Low Resistance Inrunner Brushless Motors (Such as 3000 kv brushless motor, vibration would be decreased obviously and it can rotate smoothly. However, if this PWM frequency to be selected and the controller will produce 20% more heat ! Please make sure the effective cooling is maintained! (Default Setting)
    32K suitable for High kv with Extremely Low Inductance Brushless motors

      I think no one responded because you seem to have answered your own question in the initial post but here is a general rule thats right from Patrick who of course is of Castle Creations fame.

      PWM settings;
      Higher frequency = hotter ESC, cooler motor
      Lower frequency = cooler ESC, hotter motor

      For the most part you see the default setting of speedos at a low setting and if you go to the Neu web site under recommended settings you will see Neu recommends a low setting. 11/13 khz.
