Building a few struts today and thought a would grab a quick vid to show the smoothness in these with ceramic bearings....then I discovered I had a prop out of balance!!! LOL Check it out.

By the way....this prop is/was balanced...so I thought. I knew it was at least very close. Another reason you should have a good balance on your props when running bearing struts. -
Hi Jeff.
Any chance that it's just that huge set screw hanging out of the drive dog?
Did you rotate the prop 180 degrees on the dog to see if it is still the same blade that appears heavy?
Just a thought.

It is long. I can try the mini one and rotate it. It was just a joke to show how little resistance are in these struts. They are not to be used as a balancer.Comment

That small amount of resistance in your strut is no "joke" Jeff, it's bloody brilliant.
I can see why a lot of people use them.
All the best.

Boca "sealed ceramic" I may change to the ABEC-7 NGK bearings...they are sweet!
Found some new bearings for dental tools ABEC-7 rated for 450,000 rpm...LOL Now that is what we need!Comment

450,000rpm? do you thing any prop will resist? ahahah!Comment

I had to look wice at that number. I can say that when a dentist is drilling on me it sounds like 400,000 rpm...arrrgggg. I hate those things!Comment
