    Hydro strut location?

Hi, I am wondering what is the general guideline for setting the strut location for a hydro? I have two to work on, I have instructions for one but not the other. It is an Aeromarine Shadow 40--is there some general guideline like 1 prop diameter, or bottom of sponson, or something like that? Thanks...Pete M

PS--I did try to do a search here on the forums but was unable to find the info, although I am sure it must be here somewhere...

A good place to start is with the bottom of the strut level with the bottom of the sponsons (floor/bottom of the boat level with the table). Of course this depends on the shape of the bottom of the hull. If it's flat this is easy to set up. If it has mutiple angles or a curve, things are trickier.

Thank you, exactly the kind of guidance I was looking for. It is a flat hull so should not be an issue...
