All Local Ponds And Lakes U.S.A.

Im travlin to San diego next month to watch my grandson enter this world, and while Im there I was wondering where the local ponds are.......
So I thought it would be cool if we give simple directions to the ponds or lakes in our area in case brothers gotta travel.
If your on the island of OAHU, HI. Go to the Eastside, or ask someone where the famous landmark, HYGENIC STORE is, its right next to the Kahaluu Pond, we are there every other Sunday, you can't miss us. ALOHA

I was thinking about looking around for others in my area that enjoy this hobby, as my wife has not yet seen the finer points
I have only found two ponds that were good for practice here in Rocky Mount Va. if interested just ask. However there is a huge lake just 30 miles east of here called Smith Mountain Lake, Bassmasters hold tournaments on it yearly, it is just outside of Roanoke Va. Very nice area with million $ homes and such, but it is so big that I just do not know where to go to run a boat. So I am sticking to the local ponds.

This one is a nice state park
I do not know how the race curcuit works with this hobby, is there anyplace I can go on web so that I can learn, don't want to race but it would be nice to see one.
I believe people will start to post here, I hope they do.

well if you are in the charlotte, NC area me and some friends run on the pond at the university area shopping center, usually on sundays and only electrics. but lake norman is also nearby so we can run there also.
