i have an eflite 40 amp pro esc how would you cool it and could it run a proboat stock motor on 4-6s. and help is appreciated

It will handle the 4-6S just fine. You just need to be watching your prop selection - that's the thing that determines the current draw. Do you have the one with or without the metal case? The metal case one you could cool by removing a rib or two and attaching tubing, but it won't be too effective. I have simply left them uncooled.
If you have the one without the metal case, you have more options. Just follow any of the standard "add water cooling" threads to see how.
Mine is uncooled, but I don't push a big prop with it. I'm using a Losi 13.5T and an X635 in a rigger on 3S 2200's.
