Brushless equivalent to an Aquacraft T270

I'm looking to replace an Aquacraft T270 with a brushless motor.
    It's tiny, 2mm shaft.

    Can Diameter: 24mm (0.95")
Can Length without capacitor and shaft: 30.5mm (1.20")
Overall length including capacitor and shaft: 57mm (2.25")
    Shaft Length: 10mm (0.40")
    Shaft Diameter: 2mm 0.08")

I'm thinking this might be a good replacement, but don't know the stock Kv.

    http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...ess_Motor_(FIN)

    Shaft A (mm) 2
    Length B (mm) 45
    Diameter C (mm) 23
    Can Length D (mm) 38
    Total Length E (mm) 55

I'm thinking that this ESC should run it well:

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Something like this should work well and you can make your own cooling coil for it for a couple bucks(no fins on this one) Good for 2s lipo

      Thanks!

Any idea what the stock KV is?

I really don't want to mess with props on this guy. Just something a few hundred RPM more and we should be good to go!

Is this the mini cat? You are obviously going to need an ESC for it...................The motors i listed will make it fly on 2s. Stock kv not sure, but these motors are about 4x more powerful.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. I'm just concerned about matching the KV. If I get it too high, it'll just be problems...

The HK ESC's are cheap and should be easy to install/setup.

OK, I'm just going to guesstimate 2900Kv, If I'm low, then I can always up it to 3s, but most likely 2900Kv is going to be enough. Worse case, I'll end up changing the props. Might be good to go counter rotating anyway.

Should be a psycho little beast when I'm done with it. =)

Aquacraft said they were not given the kv or rpm of the motor from the manufacturer. Nice answer.

I wouldn't dwell on the kv, AQ most likely didn't care to pass on the info on a bulk order of 50 cent motors from china. The brushless idea will be fun!

I also found this motor/ESC combo as a backup plan. If the Turnigy setup doesn't do the trick, I'll probably give this a try.

hobbyhot.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, hobbyhot.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

There are two hole sets on the Wildcat mounts, so will most likely fit the 380 sized mounts. The larger shaft size will require the coupler to be drilled out or completely replaced, but certainly worth a shot if it comes to pass.

                  =)

Yeah, $80 for the set, twin props! I'm really thinking about it.

I just signed up to see what the shipping to me would be and at under $8 p+p it is a real bargain.

Basically water cooled 380xl motors similar to the ekos units. 1/8¨shaft and all.
At 3700 kv they would make a nice sound on 3S

If the outrunner setup in my 18 cat is not to my liking then one of these combos will be on the plane pronto.
                        See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood
