    Genesis catamaran

I finally got my genesis, on it's maiden voyage with a x440 prop. and running 2 x 3s 35c lipo's in parallel it ran 28.7 Mph. I thought that was pretty good. On it's second run with an x442 prop. and running 2 x 3s 35c lipo's in parallel it ran 41.2 Mph on my G.P.S. I was thrilled it hiked the boat virtually out of the water and trucked it looked awesome and stable ! I'll try and get a video clip up soon.

In short 41 Mph or 66 Kph on the stock ESC and 2075 Kv motor on 3s lipo's I think is pretty good!

If anyone know's the proper programing for the stock ESC would be greatly appreciated I Have it working but not quite right.

If that is an Xl 2075 KV...which it says on it which is the same as an 8Xl it should have no problems spinning 4S with a 440 prop

Same setup but with a 2 mm increase in diameter on the prop made a 13 MPH difference? That's huge! Now it's time for 4s like Jeff said. Nice looking boat it is. Edit: Could that be 37 MPH on the first run?

No the edit was spelling and a pic, It wasn't just bolting on the prop that gave me the speed increase. I adjusted the drive height and angle (I think this was the biggest gain), moved my batteries as far back in the boat as possible, increased the cooling tube from 3mm to 4mm. Their is a space between the foot and the back of the transom. This space allows water to be shot vertical in about a 3-4 mm stream like a roster tail, I plugged it. Also adjusted my ESC because the cut off was wrong, but like I said I don't have the proper programing for my ESC and it just a guess.

But you are right in assuming that I was shocked by the gains!!! (both run's on my GPS)

I agree that the motor might handle 4s and I have them for my Black Jack, but I don't think the ESC will take it. Especially considering I can't lay my hands on the programing for the ESC.

Today it hit 41.5 mph and I time the batteries, it ran 6min 24 sec. but it over discharged the batteries. So I figure it will run 5 min on 2 x3s 3000 mHa lipo's in parallel that is full throttle even in the corners!

Got mine today in the mail. It did not make it 100%. Both fronts have small chunks missing and left side split along the seam. Not sure how to fix it as getting to it form the inside looks impossible.

                      Here is it : http://www.rc-raceboats.de/shop/lng/.../16-props.html

                      Voici les côtes :

                      - largeur partie fixe contre TA powertrim : 14 mm
                      - hauteur partie fixe contre TA powertrim : 25 mm

I checked the size of those powertrims and they will fit perfectly

The GENESIS hull is very nice, build is very strong, finish is perfect

                          Hello Krusty,
I new to boating and just got myself a Genesis. I am still looking for a rudder servo. May I know what servo you have got in there.

I have since changed mine to a traxxas 2075 water proof servo. I also changed the rudder linkage to a much thicker one.

I use traxxas 2075 as well but with stock. it seems to bend a bit so thicker one should give better results.
