    help with fecalc

I know this is probally simple, but I need help on how to use fecalc. I clicked on the fecalc.txt file and opened it, it came up in note book. I do not see how it is usefull like that. I'm sure I am missing something simple here. Please Help. I am new to this and am building a 32" cat with 3s 40c 5000mah lipos and a turnigy 180 speed control. I have no idea how to pick the motor and prop for this. That is why I need fecalc to get a starting point. Or if any of you know what to try, I am open to suggestions.

    Here is the link. http://gallery.offshoreelectrics.com...?album=6&pos=6

It should be a compressed file that needs to be extracted. Download the zip file. There should be 3 files that show up after it is uncompressed. Click on the application file to down load it and place it on your desktop or create a shortcut. The text file is for motor data reference once the application file is acessed.

Still no luck. Says it needs some .DLL file to run it because the class is not verified?????????

How do you input info that's not on the file?

I have the FeCalc setup exe file that installs the dll files you need. It is about 5 meg zipped, but I cant upload it here, because of the 2 meg size limit. I sent it to Steven, maybe he will post it.

                    FeCalc package install link

Steven uploaded the FECalc package install zip file for us. You can get it from the following link. It will install the whole program including the needed dll's, if your computer does not have them.

Okay I got it to work. The mistake I was making was trying to align the columns and not use a single tab.

The old exe file I had still works, but this version, once installed, gives me a runtime error (380)... I'm now trying the windows file protection, last time it worked on a similar problem.

If those have been modified, the program might throw that error. You can use another user account on the computer. Or you can go into the registry editor, HKCU\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\FECalc\Startup and change various Value Data to 1. That worked for me. Phew, what a pain!

When you restart the program does it still go back to that last setup you tried before exiting?
