Skis have twins, triples and 4 cylinders. Some turbo and super charged. I do however think this boat would be way too un-economical to enjoy. Hell, I'd rather be on the ski!

Donate that thing to the Hydroplane musium and build one from the ground up!
I would put money on it never being strong enough to make one good pass. Remember, it was probably built to sit as a display piece and never intended to be floated... By all means, go for it but let us know what lake it will sit at the bottom of... that is IF it stays in one piece???? Lol yeah he'd need a motor like what they use in the hybrid car and the esc forget about it much less the battery packs yeah i agree it will be like the real thing damn near . If u really wanted something that big . Youd probably need to build it light from the bench.Comment

if it were light enough you might could push it with a trolling motor sounds dumb but my dad has a 40lb thrust motor guide it powerful 4 real That thing cost over 500 bucks. It pushes or aluminum jon boat great on 12 volts and it can be overvolted.Heres a pic of some old minn kotas im gonna shave down put bearings in redesign the endbells and see what they do.Attached FilesComment

Even if the hull can float, and it was a true scale of the real thing, 350lbs is gonna need so much power and it will take such a beating... Do you realy think it would be strong enough?HPR C-5009, Riptide48, PaynPak 1/12, Miss Budweiser 1/8 Hydro, Miss Freya (own design 1/8 Hydro), HOR 32, Twin 380 HOR 32, Magin oneComment

Here is from his post on JRCBD username F4Joe "It started out with a g-23 in it and then a QD35cc A3 and now it has a QD35cc A4 in it. The boat runs close to 60MPH and with a few more weekends at the lake I know I can get it to the mid 60's The boat is 68" long and I think it weights about 37lbs. Here is a link to the youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN1H0Ml9C8Q
I had the wrong spark plug in it that day and we tried a new prop and got 10 more M.P.H. out of it."
Here is a picture of his new build
Some pics of boats built from the club he ran in which are around 72"
