Silicone Conformal Coating

How good is it?
Anybody using it right now?
I was just using it on all my Tactic receivers and will use it on ESC that is on the way to me.

I have great success with the spray version shown in the pics. Not cheap at $16 a can but a very good product I bought at a local, higher end electronics supply house. The web site is www.mgchemicals.com

Using the old saying, "Too Strong Never Breaks" I will often conformal coat a circut board with several thin spray coats. After drying for 24 hrs I dip in corrosion X. Does not seem to be any adverse reaction and you get the best of both worlds.

I have used it on both Pro-Boat and Tactic receivers, and low end ESC. Haven't dunked them underwater to see if they worked (too skeered), but it has protected them from minor water.

Sailr, I got mine locally at Fry's Electronics. It's not listed in their online store, but I was browsing around and found it at the retail store. I also just looked at their store locator and saw they do not have any stores in Fla - sorry.

None that I have ever seen. But, I believe, you must make sure that the silicon conformal coating is fully cured before bringing it in contact with any other type of chemicals.
