Spy shot Insanes new sport hydro

This is the second time the boat has hit the water. I'm running one of Joes Neu clones 2200 kv motor with one of his Chinese controllers on a 4s 3850 thunderpower 45c pack and a 645 prop. I know some of you guys wanted to see the boat run. Were making a few changes so this is a work in progress and more to come.

I agree the boat was in the 50s. The graph shows most of the run in the 40s and 50s and then when I brought it in at the end of the video one of the motor leads unpluged and I think thats were the 74 came from. The boat is working very well so far and its only going to get better.

                Looks nice, Mark.

That setting looks familiar. I kind of remember Trent showing off some of his toys at a place that looked very similar, way back when. Same place?

Here is a summary from the Eagle Tree...
All data from an Eagle Tree logger with GPS, brushless motor sensor, Power LCD panel and thermister to measure motor case temperature. The data was recorded at 10 sample points per second data rate. The boat was run on a 4-cell Thunder Power 30C, 3850 mAhr LiPo pac. These are the summary recordings on the run as shown on the computer screen.

High Speed = 75.0 MPH or 120.7 kph
                  High Amps = 155.87
                  High RPM = 29,469
Hi Watts = 2257 (This is 3 HP!)
                  Hi Motor Temp = 130 F
                  Total mAmps used = 1385
                  Low Pac Voltage = 13.3

Mark and I thought maybe there was just a glitch at the end and resulted in a high spike of GPS speed to record on the Eagle Tree Power Panel.

However, the data was recorded in the logger and we played it back. Since I set the sample rate at 10 cycles per second we recorded a maximum amount of data. On the final pass when we played back the data the speed went from 50 and steadly increased to 60 then went to 70, 71, 71, 72, 73, 73, 74,74, 75,75, etc. There was a lot more than a single data point. The high speeds cooresponded to the max RPM and max current draw.

I have 4 Eagle Tree V3 systems including a wireless Seagull and have been using them for years. Yes, I confirmed they were set at MPH. This is the first time i recorded an "anomoly" like this. Any ideas would be appreciated. I saved the entire log file on my computer so I could continue to go over it. I may contact Bill at Eagle Tree to see if he can explain this.

Yes, this is my home in Lake Forest Ca. I am luckly enough to a test area only 30 feet from my office/shop. But, as an ocean engineer who tests lots of equipment, that is the reason I bought the house in the first place. It was one of those rare things that both my wife and I totally agreed on! If you are in the SoCa area you are welcome to join us. Joe

Here is the computer screen read out from the stored Eagle Tree Data from run 2 of the Insane Hydro.

I have also posted a very short UTube video on the computer playback of the actual run. From the video you can see the GPS speed is not a spike but gradually goes up, stays at 75 MPH, then gradually decreases. Any ideas?

I sent an e-mail to Bill at Eagle Tree with a link to this thread. Hopefully he can provide some insight.
