    Managing Distractions...

I really thought I had it covered, but again today... a nice gentleman, without any dumb questions happened to say something that caught my attention, the boat was off course a bit and startled when I noticed it heading for an obstacle I over corrected by letting off and turning and, FLIP. This makes three times I've done the exact same thing.

On a good note, the camera's memory card survived. Waiting to find out if the camera did.

The Villain came to rescue and since I always use fresh hatch tape on every run, it was nice and dry inside.

I'm considering wearing a headset setup with the really big headphones.

that's exactly what I wanted to say!...
...should you add "I'm driving a dangerous model that can cause you serious injuries"
seriously, people just don't know all about RC stuff and can't imagine how dangerous our model can be!

Funny I tend to "Trance out" when I am plugging in my Lipo's. I had a guy that was asking me all kinds of questions when I was plugging in my lipo's one day. I was trying to ignore him and giving him very short answers, I must have seemed like a jerk but I explained to him that one wrong connection can ruin my day. I also try NOT to talk to someone while they are plugging in and taping up. Once you hook your lipo's up wrong once I bet you will never do it again. So far I have done it TWICE!

I've seen some really experienced guys dead short HV packs. One guy dead shorted a 32 cell Nimh pack with a steel file. Ugly. Looked like it was struck by lightening.

The big boats are more unforgiving.

I've never shorted a pack. Sounds a bit like arc welding...
                    Let's hope I never do.

                        Or make a sign.

Do NOT disturb the RC boater
                        while the boat is running.

I will never forget the day I was running my boat in a quarry...

A diver surfaced within feet of my boat at full speed... In the middle of nowhere...

I don't mind chatter once I'm on the water. That's just me. It's those few seconds when I'm plugging in that screw me up. Although anything over Q and you can't even blink on our dinky pond or you'll be up on land.
