The size of the boat is really going to limit you to smaller props. Like, X435, X435/3, which are 1/8" prop hubs.

If you are looking for a 3/16" prop hub, X438, X637 x537/3 are good choices, too. All of these props will work with what you are wanting to do above, and not make that boat TOO fast.

The 9L will spin faster on 3S than the Proboat motor on 4S, so favor the smaller props w/the 9L setup.

I used to run the 9L on 12 NiMH cells with an X440 (race setup) in an OM 26, so I don't think a 9L on 3S with an X438 in the smaller boat will be a problem.

You'll need a min of a 60 amp ESC. 80-100 would be better, and quality cells, too.

The Proboat motor on 4S will give you more options down the road. It's a more popular motor that has a better Kv on 4S to allow a much larger prop selection...when you get a bigger boat.
