    Electric fan cooling for codite SS1

    Hello everyone, can you use a fan cooled heat sink on a cordite ss1 in an enclosed mono??

    The motor has a fan built in.

      You can if you like, if you need to cool the motor then it is often better to cool with water via a coil or better still a jacket

      That internal fan does a lot of cooling too. I have one and have used it a lot.
      If you need more cooling then go with water.

      I used a coil over the torque ring and then water-cooled the brush tabs too.
      See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

          I`m with Simon,do brush tab cooling,that would be enough.If not add coil cooling.Both easy to dot yourself.Just check OSE store "tips" section,....Al
