Proper way to install a stuffing tube?

I'm re-inserting the stuffing/drive tube on an apparition. It looks like the hull cracked when they originally set it up or when the prop shaft broke. I don't recall which.

It was originally glassed in with small fiber cloth, but quickly cracked loose when the prop shaft bent and vibrated it loose.

Should I use marine epoxy or fiberglass resin w/small cloth? or is there another way completely?

Silly question I know, but would like another mind on it before I lay the glass.

I use Z-Poxy and one pc of glass over the top of the tube. Make sure you sand everything that will contact the epoxy (including the outside of the brass tube). You can put a few pcs of tape on the other side of the hull (bottom side) while the epoxy is hardening. That will give you a clean finish on the bottom as no epoxy will leak out. See attached of my repair. Good Luck!
