I need advise for a high KV motor on 2 cell lipo

Here is what I need, I need something in the 4200kv-5000 or so kv area to run 2 cell lipo on. I am building a 27" or less tunnel hull to try and set the N-O/B Tunnel IMPBA SAW record. I need something that will do well on 2 cell. Let me know what you might suggest. I know the straight NEU 1506 or 1509, or maybe one of the 14 series NEU's would work, but I am looking for low budget, but decent, maybe the 4200kv castle neu sidewinder 1/10th scale motor???? Feigao 540 6L or 5L

Have you used them? What prop will they spin? What size hull and ESC have you used with it? Mike

I have a 540 8XL (the size above the L) 100A cheap chinese ESC, 42 to 43.5mm carbon prop, I use it in a 29" mono, you sould be able to spin a 36 to 39mm prop, Feigao are good motors for the money everybody will confirm!

If you run the suggested 5 or 6L, just keep in mind that they will pull some big amps.........100+ easy, especially the 5L, so get and ESC capable of this draw. I guess the castle 1/10 motor could possibly work, never crossed my mind.......its a 4600kv btw, and has a 3.17mm shaft.

Yeah, I am thinking about staying away from Feigaos. I had a couple, and really did not care for them. Just read another post with a guy burning up 2 180a turnigy esc's, and guess what motor he was running! Probably need to just use a Neu. mike

i use from time to time a losi 4800kv 1/10 scale motor fast on 2s screaming on 3s with a proboat stock prop
