    Motor support, different...

    Guys, I need some help!

I am currently building another Wasabi 650mm Mono and would like to use an L or XL Feigao. Because of past experience in balancing this hull, I want to push the motor well behind the hatch opening, as in the picture. Sides will be 3mm aluminum or carbon, motor mount plate 6mm thick aluminum, base plate again 3mm aluminum.
Do you think this will be enough support, do I need the lower support?

I think it would be enough even without the back support ,had this kind of support (without back suport) for 400 grams motors (1515, scorpion 4025) and no problems

the question is once the motor mount is glued inside the hull, how will you access the mounting screws for motor removal???

Forgot to mention: the whole front support will be fixed with 3 bolts on the hull. This way I can remove the whole motor with support in case I need to (hope not...).

Cornel, why don't you make a mount the same principle as Peter Zicha makes?

I already have my version of it... will post some pics later, but I am trying to save space, especially on the sides of the motor. That was my first thought, but it does not fit very well.
Once home, I'll take some pics so you can see how the space is.

Here's my actual support and a layout of how deep I would like to sit the motor.
I will do the parts, as for the existing support on a CNC router, based on my drawing. Most of the advertising materials companies will have a router and work with aluminum... and they're CHEAP!!!

I like that design for the mount! One word of criticism would be the thickness of the sides and front plate. I'd say half that thickness would be fine and plenty strong. Just my opinion, you know how those are.....

Yeah, this was a test and they only had 6mm thickness on stock... It was supposed to be 4mm front, 5mm behind and 3mm sides

Again bro, I like the style of that mount! Some small holes near along the bottom for the epoxy to grab onto would be cool also!

Got the parts from the router guys... and got polish happy!! Took out my polishing wheel and, half an hour later, I had this hardware. It will look perfect on the black hull, but still need to cleanup the inside...
