    df 26 choices

starting on a df 26...after much research and vid watching with different setups i guess i cannot decide on anything...i suppose there are many ways to get where i want to be...i am not hugely concerned with price so i would rather buy an neu or castle motor for efficiency...i want mid fifties plus and approx 4-5 minute runs...probably have to go 2p..there is not much space for lipos in this boat..but maybe something on 4s2p would be good for balance/weight..weight might be good to keep it on the water...anyone allready have a good setup?
1415 motors are interesting as well as the 1515 castle 2200kv i just cannot decide on anything though
    happy boating

I ran one on a Feigao 8l on 3s1p and x63y and it was good for mid 40's. The castle 1515 will make it a friggin missile! Small props are good though, too much prop and you get too much torque roll. I bet a 642 with the castle and 4s2p with a seaking 180 would be all this hull could handle and more. It is probably to this day the most fun hull I have driven. The Castle/Neu 1512 on 3s is another option as well, with a little weight savings

55 mph is probably too much for that hull to handle, the larger DF hulls would be a better choice, I think, what do other DF owners suggest?

      The new and kinder

Fqdawld runs a clone with an 8xl and 4s1p with my X637. Get 50's with about 4-5 minutes of run time.

Douggie, the bigger motors and weight of more cells really help keep this hull planted at high speeds. You can push it past 50, but you WILL have some spectacular wipeouts too. That's all part of the fun of this hull. I do like the smplicity of running just one battery in it though.

It handles remarkably well for a hull that size. Check out some of my videos and you'll see it run on 6s!!!

Boy, you lads are brave. I have a DF29, 9XL and 4S power and I would not want to take it over 50 mph. Interesting feedback though, time for the old fart to listen to the young turks
