Im posting this separate now hoping to get an answer or better yet, an educated guess.
I am building a BBY Micro Patriot. I have a surface drive already installed. I am looking to mount my rudder- which will be on center so it steers equally to both sides.
I would like the boat to be fast but still turn well.
The hull is only 12.5" long. I was thinking 7/8" ~ 1" worth of rudder below the keel line?
