Motor and coupler recommendation

Hi,
I am looking for a neu motor that would be an appropriate replacement for a feigao 540 9XL (1898 KV) to run in a syncron. Any recommendations?

Also looking for a good coupler solution,

A Neu 1512/1.5Y would be pretty close in application but you will end up with a much better motor. More eff and consuming less power. I dont know the Syncron so someone else will have to chime in about the coupler.

That jives with the research I did on www.neumotors.com. It says for a sports setup for 27-30" mono hull, 4S, to go with the 1515/1.5Y.

If you ran the 9xl it has a 5mm shaft so your coupler should work on the 1512 or 1515 motor. either motor would be enough motor the Syncron. Me, I would put the 1515 in because I like to see a BIG A$$ brushless motors in small boats, it intimidates the nitro guys when they see them!

I trashed the coupler trying to pry it off... decided to try an Octura Flex Hex

OOH! well in that case I have no idea what size the flex shaft is that came with the boat. sorry mine didn't have the hardware from Toysport.
