    Toysport Triton questions

Time to get a real boat like a Toysport Triton. Does the hardware installed version come from OSE just like it shows in the pictures on the site? Looks like a clean job. Also, can you paint these gelcoat hulls? I would prefer to go with another color than yellow or white. And how is the hatch secured? With tape or some other system? Thanks for your help.

The hardware install is top notch. The hulls can be painted. I can also special order different colors. It takes about 5-10 weeks.

ALL electric boats should have their hatches secured by tape!

I cant not same it enough. That fancy locking system on the supervee hatch does not stop water from getting in and will come off in a roll over.

Speaking of roll-overs, does the Toysport roll-over system work as advertised? That is the main reason I am interested in this boat as opposed to other high level designs. I run for fun at an alpine lake and a disabled boat means I have to get a fisherman to go out in his 14 foot aluminum to help me!

It rolls over most of the time. The problem arises when something gets loose. In a roll over I once had, one of the packs came loose and fell to the bottom(top) of the hull while in the water. It would not roll back over with the added weight on the bottom. But its a life saver. Especially while racing! I have guys at the 2005 electric nationals trying to get my boat disqualified because the feature worked so well!
