    3060 kv ?

    Hey guys,

I put a 3060 kv motor with a 180 ESC in a vagas hull with two 5000 2s 40c batteries in series. this thing went fast. The batteries were a little warm after about 3.5 min of running. I was using the stock prop.
Whats wrong with this setup? Do i need to use diffrent batteries? It seems to work good with that prop... bit of cavitation out of the hole.
    Whats going to go wrong?
    I hope someone can help.

    Thanks.

    Steve.

Too much kv. On 4s you want around 2000kv. You were probably pulling huge amps! What motor is it, and what size prop?

The motor is a 3660 HK, im not sure what the prop is, dont have it here, probably around 36mm.
This was just for fun. I gutted and converted the vagas in about two hours. I hade the motor on the shelf. What would this motor be good for?

If the Kv is accurate it might be a good 2S-3S motor - just like it says on the data page. Personally I think that 3S is probably too much for most applications.
