Hey bedrock lets continue with your thread. Its truly interesting. 70 mph is a blast no doubt but a big 50 inch scale going 50 is nothing to downtalk. Thats good all day in my book. Especially as a start. Id really like to see you try a big gas prop similar to the ones shown on that big hog.@ what s lipo I dont know maybe even 9 s and split the debate down the middle.I think we all have great advice to give and we all make mistakes too. A 78mm diameter, 128mm pitch prop on 8s with that motor sure would make the OP's 38" rigger go as fast as hell...

I still say that a 38 inch rigger is not its home. You need a hull for such a prop. Do a 1/6th or 1/7th scale or a big cat. Ill help you with the scale.

Big props and low voltage battery combos are a very interesting topic

Its my belief that lower voltage requires more work out of a motor which is seen in amp draw but because torque is directly related to amps it would be more torque. This is all assuming the motor in question can handle what u demand out of it.
