We all use FE Calc... it is very good for a guide.. but it lacks a weight factor..
so the mph posted in the results is based on what?
i propose to determine a safe power/weight ratio and would like others with known reliable setups to chime in.
for instance ozzie and i were talking earlier and we came to the conclusion that 1/4HP(175watts) per Lb. of boat is a safe guideline. any one want to chime in with some feedback?
and should someone prop the boat to run at the max efficiency on FE calc or some percentage less...? take your setups and put them in fe calc are you running at the max number or somewhere less? i know lots of questions
but im trying to make sense of the Fe calc and how to apply it to my various boat projects ... im addicted to FE boats now
