Removing Epoxy Fingerprints - any tips?

Is there a way to remove epoxy fingerprints from vinyl without destroying the vinyl gloss?
I believe the boat deck is covered in a vinyl laminate overlay which is then sealed. Previous owner had to repair some big damage, and it got understandably messy. I'd like to clean 'er up a bit, but don't want to ruin the nice "paint job".
I tried Goo Gone and rubbing alcohol, but it's not seeming to break it down. Will probably go for fingernail polish remover next...

    Any ideas?

Can o use a real sharp new razor blade. Drag it at an angle about 45 degree and you might be able to scrape it off but I would use some light oil or something also for lubrication.

Thanks Jim. I'll try in some inconspicuous spots and see how it goes. You've seen this hull...Its the 1/10 '83 (?) Atlas which has been in Brent Hall's hands and then Jim Stevens' in our club. Needs some TLC.

Not sure I know who built it. Might have been a CT guy

as long as the paint is sealed you can use fingernail polish remover..i used it on my cyberstorm to take off the fingerprints as well as overspray..it cleaned up perfectly..but if its spray paint and not gelcoat it will take the paint off easily

Its on vinyl though don't think that would buff up very well. Chris that boat is probably very light as Dale really makes them lighter than most.

I also have a Mr. P's by Pete Schille...so light...and too fragile for my driving. I may replace the belly pan in the Atlas to give me more reinforcement options.
Thanks for the advice guys, off I go to the garage!

                      I don't own a heat gun unfortunately.
I believe I'll have to use the blade method...I'll try it with some lubrication first.
