I just wanted to acknowledge the passing of Wayne Shutte, on OSE, Drwayne. I only knew him a little, it was always great messaging with him, I learned a few things from his posts and comments over the years and He allowed me to be the New Zealand agent for Entropy batteries about 3-4 years ago. The hobby has lost another legend, another silent engine.
RIP Drwayne

It's a tough loss. He was a brilliant person who loved to share his knowledge. He helped me a lot over the last 20-plus years. RIP Dr WayneSteven Vaccaro

I had a bit to do with him some years ago. Just getting back into boating after a big 12+ years break (was ozzie-crawl)
was meaning to say g'day a few weeks back as we where still FB friends and would chat now and then.
Regret not reaching out a few weeks back, truly was a great guy that loved to help people.Comment

I remember talking to Wayne back in 2011/2012, he was really active on the forum back then, so many of us had a good time in his build threads because of the tone he set. I still remember when he built the Drambuie on Ice with new (at the time) MBP click drives, and he had the TFL Super Daytona. I think he had a drag boat thread too...use to love reading his posts, probably bc of the atmosphere he created within them. I appreciated his ingenuity and above all his willingness to talk to/help anyone.
It always hits home when a fellow boater passes, RIP Dr. Wayne.Comment
