    length of the twin motor Genesis flex cable

    Hey Guys;
    I am in the process of building a twin motor Genesis ,which is my first big build.I have been sitting here scratching my head on how I determine the length of the flex cable.Could someone inform me of what I have to do. Thanks

    Mount your motors and drives, then measure the distance from the end of the motor shaft to the end of the drive and thats the total length of your assembled cable from tip to drive dog. The drive dog is the part that the prop butts up against on the prop shaft. If your drives use sold stub shafts that are drilled, you'll need to figure out how deep the cables are inserted into the stub shaft tot know the exat length. I usually get rough measurements, buy cables longer than I need, or start with a long roll of flex cable if I'm making my own.
