    TFL Pursuit Speed Improvement

    Hi all,

I've been gradually upgrading my TFL Pursuit (stock version with 1650 SSS motor and 120A Seaking ESC). I am currently running a 180A Seaking (so that I can run 6s with sufficient overhead) with a Dasboata prop recommended by the man himself. Those upgrades alone have me hitting just under 50mph (incredible the performance difference with just the prop upgrade alone). I would now like to get into the 60-70mph range and it seems the next purchase should be a more powerful motor. I'm considering one of the Leopard offerings but am not sure if I should be going with a 4074, 4082 X2 or a 4092. I'm thinking that I should be staying in the 1700 - 1800kV range given I'm running 6s but am not 100% sure. I want the speed but don't want to burn through ESCs, motors, lipos unnecessarily :) Please help!

A leopard 4092 1730kv on 6s with an abc 1914 17 45, 1915 17 45 2 blade will easily get you, your desired speed. You will need a little negative on the trim tabs. From neutral position do a 1/2 turn negative on the 4 trim tab screws. Set the 4 tabs equal, 1/2 turn negative.

Smc have some good lipos something around 6000 mah 150c likely will work well with this setup.

If you solder everything properly, set the tabs correct, 70 mph should be easily obtained.
