Well, to fill all the voids on a Whip 20 you'll probably need 2 cans of great stuff. Plus, when the fastest guys I knew told me exactly what to get I did that. The stuff made for boats is likely a little heavier. It does make a really sturdy boat though. I can chop a buoy in two at 60 mph without even letting off the trigger.

LOL Besides i wont need foam soon.....Im trying to figure out how to walk on water and avoid these problems......Ummmmmm hasent worked yet . LOL
PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash

          this is funny!

do you know how big a Gas KOS is?
give ya a hint, it's BIGGER than a Whip 20
I think I used half a can to fill up the front of a hull

wow Venom. Didn't expect that on this forum.

My Whip is filled stem to stern. I have two virtually identical boats. One with foam one without. Doesn't matter.

It's really not necessary to be an a'hole about it. Guys with some experience tried share what they've learned and you crap on it. You guys obviously need no input other than your own so I'll refrain from offering any in the future.

When I built my Whip 20 I used the 2 part polyurethene foam to fill the sponsons. Before I add the foam the boat would sit on a flat surface with the sponsons and transom touching, after adding the foam the transom would no longer sit on the table.

As for the Great Stuff stay away from it. I built a classic hydro round nose kit, taking my time to fill it carefully. after hitting a concrete erosion wall and destroying the hull,I looked at the integrity of the foam it was soft spongy and growing mold were water that seeped around didn't dry out and it did nothing for reinforcing the hull.

sorry man, but this cracks me up!
my Gas KOS still has more space inside the hull than a whip 20, those are small compared to my kos
you could possibly put two of those inside my KOS

now go hit the shore at full throttle and see how well it holds up.

Me and friend who is a HI POWER model rocket junkie built 2 identical rockets to test the strength of the Great stuff and the 2 part urethane foam. I used Great stuff he used the good stuff, guess which rocket is still flying.... not mine. mine is scattered all over the Pawnee National Grass Lands in Northern Colo. both rockets broke Mach 1.

Is it possible that people use it and have differen outcomes? You guys are getting a little too touchy. It's OK if everything you state isn't taken as the ONLY way. Give a suggestion based on your experience. Other than that, I could care less who's won what race.

nope not me! That would be Chuck Alarid. I held the boat back for better handling which paid off.

Actually people were giving suggestions and there experiences, than people started saying "follow instructions" "read directions"

I am the type of person that reads directions very carefully.. and that Great Stuff crap sucks, for boats anyways. Works good for its intended purpose... homes!
