    Coupler problem ? Or bearings?

I just been lining up my drives, 1 is perfect I don't know if you can tell by the video but one rubs slightly, I don't think the 5mm hole in the coupler is straight? Could this be right... The coupler is h&m but different to the other 1 I got it seems 1/2 finished what do you think??

I don't know what the quality is like or anything as it is a iPhone record + upload

I'll post a pic of the couplers in the morning

I see the sight wobble. How is the vibration while running?

the boat hasnt been for a flat out speed run yet but it does create vibrations

going for 35k - 40k rpm as well had it to maybe 10,000 tops so far

Just make sure it is not the motor shaft.

stranger things have happened at sea than a motor being dropped on its shaft while still in the factory and getting sent out anyway. I know its a pain in the arse but check it on the other motor, and if it wobbles there too; Throw it hard at the back of the head of whoever you got it from (not form cowardice just don't want to take an eye out), hopefully when they wake up they will do the same to whoever they got it from, and up the chain it will go until someone beans the machinist with it, he falls forward unconscious, his sleeve gets caught on the running lathe which pulls his arm off, lo and behold no more shoddy products from him, thats QA at work.

                  yup, the coupler

i don't know if you can tell from the quality...

this one is the 'good' coupler on the left side (opposite to what it was) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dabzdBAkf7k

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma0_XYDFZOM this is the 'bad' coupler on the opposite side

to me it seems the hole for the motor shaft wasn't drilled straight... + it looks unfinished

I just had a feigao motor bend a shaft while on the bench. I traced it back to a bad coupler. It is WAY out of balance. Didn't even get to run it since I rebuilt it.

Can it be the wrong flex cable for your motor rotation?,....L or R? are they rotating as they should? its a 2 motor cat,right?....just looking for more possibilities.....Al

Take your dial gauge and check the runout on the outside tip of your coupler and the inside along the entire length.

Once that is done as one person here has already suggested, check the runout on the motor shaft.

Keep in mind with any flex cable unless they are soldered or brazed or whatever, you can crush and shift the internal strands slightly resulting in and offcenter situation, the flex around that area is garbage at that point and will need to be removed.
