    Puffy Caps and Twisted Cable.

Yo guys. I was running my Nomad cat today and I noticed something. When I was feeling does the ESC for heat during a break....I noticed the one cap, of the 2 on the outside of my OEM RC HV 100a ESC was getting a little puffed out. The other cap is flat on the top.

So it's not bad. It does not feel or look like it is about to blow out. but I was wondering if you guys think I should maybe solder some new caps on. or if I can even do this I don't know. Maybe I have to keep the same caps or can I change them? Thanks.

I'd take a pic, but there is really nothing to see. Just the top of one of the 2 ESC caps is a bit puffed out thats all

On a side note. Give it up for me! I twisted up my first flex cable today! Had it not been in that shaft, my 9xl would have made it look like a pretzel! and I did'nt loose the prop!!!!

By all means replace the bad cap immediately. If you do not, the ESC will be damaged eventually. How can you possibly tell if the cap is not ready to blow? Are you psychic?

You can try Radio Shack or Frye's. I don't know what caps are used on that controller.

I was completely unaware they can be changed out. Good thing to know.

Watch the capacitor +/_ polarity markings when replacing them.
