To buy a "water damaged" M-Machine with or without hardware?

    Albert,

    Here are a couple pics of the hull and hardware from the one I got from Aeromarine earlier this year. Notice the slight surface rust on the rudder nut, therefore the "water damaged" label. The stuffing tube needs to be re-epoxied. Most threads I've read take out the nitro mount. they also suggest a longer rudder, like 5" for better handling.

          Is it hard to get the nitro mount & radio box out ?.

              no but a dremel tool with discs will be your friend for cleaning it up amd cutting out stubborn parts

                Do these hulls need to reinforced, or are they thicker on the bottom since the are nitro hulls ?.
