    Water Jacket

I have a Feigao brushless motor and was wondering the best location for the water jacket water in/outlets... On the top, bottom or side. I was thinking the bottom as it would allow it to drain. Motor & jacket came from OSE, the jacket is the black one shown on this site for the Feigao motors.

The best place is were it allows the cleanest installation/routing of the water lines I just blow air through my lines to dry them out.

I put mine however the lines need to exit as well.
I would ask though, top of the motor by the wires or lower twords the shaft or middle as far as placement, or does it matter at all?

I can't see it making a diffrence. The waters forced in and back out so quickly anyway. It's not like we are dealing with a large volume of it. Locate it in a place that makes it easy to run your lines.

Well as to locaton. On XL motors I place the jacket as far tward the output shaft as possible. Then run a heatsink & fan up on the endbell to maximize cooling over the entire motor. This is considered overkill but it's just what I do. I'll look for a picture and edit the post to show you in a bit.
