The ProBoat BJ26/FASTech ESCs have a LIPO mode. They worked great on 4S. Have to have the programming card to get them setup for Lipos, but otherwise, they work fine.
I still run the ProBoat ESC in my Miss Elam for P-Limited Sport, and ran one in my P-Limited OPC Tunnel for two seasons. Good, Reliable ESCs...

the blue brushed version is rated for 12v max...as in do not exceed. they say up to 10 round cells, but that is optimistic, figure 6-8 cells(nimh) as more realistic.

4s is 14.8 volts but 2 7 cell NiMH batts (8.4 volts) in series gives you 16.8. Before I switched to lipos, I used the NiMH set in both brushed and brushless but my brushed ESC was rated 12 to 30 volts. I have used the 16.8 in my stock BJ26 (Brushless).
It's just the stock Proboat 4.8 -12v brushed esc...PRB2314. Just wondering how much over 12v it will take. Looks like maybe nothing over 12v if Integrating is right.
yeah, I run the blue proboat brushed esc in some of my sport boats...3S is as much as I've tried...so far so good, but I have an experiment I plan to try soon with a trinity stock, the proboat esc, and 2 el cheapo 3S packs in parallel. Likely will fry the motor...should be fun for at least a half lap!
