Can my cable still be used?

Was removing my Octura 0.150" cable to lub it after the weekend run and saw that the cable was twisted but not broken. I cleaned away the cable grease and took a picture + inspect it.

It does not look broken on the exterior but I think the core is broken. But when I tried pulling and twisting it, it is still very strong and not breaking.

Can it still be used or should I dump it.

The cable will fail and it's not worth trying to get a few more runs out of her. You can distroy the stuffing tube. Mine failed early last year due to an alignment issue and ended up catching the ESC wire also. Your lucky you caught the problem avoiding possible damage.

Do you run the drive dog up against the strut?
