    Gyro controlled step plates?

I saw this gadget and was thinking "how could this be used in boats?".

    hmmm........................

What about using this gyro connected to a servo to control step plates that help prevent blow overs in the large fast cats or monos?

Pretty slow response time - I wonder if it's the gyro output or the servo? That could lead to some major pitch oscillations as the gyro tries to catch up with the model's attitude. Don't think the technology is quite ready for really fast boats.....

You can get fast gyros to but they are more money. I had one on the back wing of a hydro and thats like 15 years ago and it worked good and the new gyros are way faster. I was thinking of putting one on the front wing when I get around to putting my new 1/8 salt water bud together. I'm looking forward to see what happens to M12 build.
