Need Some Help Schulze 40.160

I have a new Schulze fut-xl-40.160WK.gra,the motor I am going to run is a NEU 2215/2Y on 8S2P set up. The Schulze wiring diagram, if you are the future-xl with two parallel battery cables, these cables must run in pairs + and - to two battery packs; the packs are then wired in parallel in order to achieve maximum current delivery capacity. ESC has two + red and two- black does that mean one battery to one red and black and the other battery to one red and black? I am not sure can somebody help me please.

4 wires for parallel 2 packs setup, if you run 1 pack setup then you should use both red and both black wires by connecting them together

Do not run seperate packs to the seperate battery wires. Battery and motor leads must stay together. You can solder the two battery leads together close to the controller and then have them split to accept the two battery leads. Hope this makes sense,

I know this isn't my thread but I just bought a 40-160 from duncanjerry in his "big" sale..... I don't quite get what you mean mark by saying that battery and motor wires need to stay together?

Also if there iare 4 battery leads...2 black, 2 red, are you saying if I want to run 8s2p I cant run 2 4s packs in series on each side of the boat and then in parrallel with the 4 connectors?

Don't want to hurt this new controller... mine is the v16 model... don't know if this helps... thanks in advance gents!

Yes, exactly. Although looking at mine I believe the wires are coupled directly on the board in the new version.

Nova: on each "pair" of cables on the controller all you have to do is strip out a small portion of the wire insulation and solder the pair of wires together about an inch away from the board. Once they are bonded just put a piece of shrink tubing over the exposed wire bond. Then you have a parallel harness built into the controller wiring. This helps to even out what the controller "uses".
