The motor looks good... Did the wd40 thing,... I dunked the esc in alcohol as well as reciever and unwrapped lipos and dunked them too..... I think my caps are gone because looking closer they are not perfectly round anymore.... They look bad.... Is it still ok to try esc after it's thouroughly dried out? I'm sure at the very least it will need new caps... The esc had a second set of caps on it also as mike Martin had installed a second set of caps...

Ok I used denatured alcohol and dipped my esc and lipos in the alcohol along with my receiver.... Then I let them all air dry on my covered porch for the week....

I just barely shrinkwrapped back up the lipos and castle hydra... I went and placed the lipos on charger and sure enough both batts were at exactly 7.81 volts right after putting them on my Hyperion... Charged back up to perfect balance and 8.414 voltage..... I then hooked up the esc to the receiver and to my lipo receiver pack and plugged in the once submerged ul-1 motor(which I thoroughly sprayed out with wd-40) and couldn't believe it when I plugged in the lipos the esc armed perfectly and EVERYTHING is A OK!!!! I'm a very happy camper.... In fact I already purchased a other hydra 120 figuring it wad gone..... I used a old toothbrush to clean up the boards before reapplying the shrinkwrap.... So I guess it was certainly worth the money spent on the divers! I couldn't be happier... Thank you all for your information... I am very glad I conversed on this site about what to do.... I guess I am never gonna say anything bad about castle esc's!!!! They can be submerged for 24 plus hours and keep on kickin! Thanks gents!

Great news. Did you get the "spark" when you plugged the batteries to the ESC?

I know you'll do this, but pay closer attention to the cells/esc now. Heat build up, deformed shape, lack of speed or runtime, odd charging characteristics, the "spark", etc.

Yes the spark happened just as it did before..... Seems as though everything is ok... I will probably definately use the lipos in my "lesser" boats from know on....... Don't want a fire in my nice boats!

Even the digital futaba 9650 servo survived and is back at it! Well worth the money for the divers for sure..... $70 servo too...

Back in my days of doing RC warship combat, alcohol was a common tool for dewatering a sunk ship.

Drain everything out, douse it with plenty of alcohol and then let it dry for a bit in the sun while you patch the ship up.

Then go out and do it all again...

I recently had a flex cable mishap and my rigger was nose up (all electronics under water) for ten minutes or so. I drained it and went about my business. That evening I put it and the lipo on a food dehydrator overnight. I didn't get the nerve to try things until a couple days later, but everything was fine - back to normal. Whew! No mess, no fuss, no kidding. Last year I dunked my Airtronics mx-3 FHSS transmitter while running down a mono in a fast moving creek (didn't have time to set it down I guess) and dried it the same way with success.
