    MHZ CT-03 Windscreen Shroud..

Anyone ever seen them for sale on the mhz website German/USA site?
Ive seen them on Ct03's, but cant find them on either site.
Anyone know someone with a CT03 they could ask..

      Thanks for your reply
      Yes i already asked Hanspeter.
Unfortunatly he stopped making the CT03 along time ago now, and cant help me with the windscreen shroud on this particular model.
      If i had a CT04 different story.

If the canopy is the same, you could ask him for a scan of the drawing, then just scale it... a bit of thin abs and you're done!

I believe the ct04 is basically a scaled down version of
hanspeters other bigger 233. Pretty sure it runs the same bottom
          anyway.
So I don't think it will fit.

Shame MHZ does stainless shrouds for other boats in there
stable, but not the ct03. Grrrrrr

Why don't you make one yourself ?
            It's not that hard.

Is there a link on how to make your own anyway?
              Ill take a look..

                    step 1 :

apply a thin layer of BUTTER on the canopy.

                    step 2 :

put 1 layer of "household-foil" on top of it. (the kind your wife/mom/girlfriend/grandma uses in the kitchen/fridge to keep things fresh)

make sure the foil is smooth.

                    step 3 :

Apply the number of layers of glasscloth/cf you want. all layers soaked in epoxy of course.

There it is, your copy of the canopy. Cut/Dremel it in the shape you want.

On this one I did almost the same.
Made a copy of the canopy.
                      Cut out the original windows
Placed the copy inside the hatch, result : "deep" windows .

Hmm you have me thinking about trying it.
The problem i have is my Boats already painted ( Up there in my Avatar )
So wouldnt it be kinda scary to get anything on her paint work

Sounds good in theory, could be a disaster in practical.

No, you wont hurt the boat if you coat it good. I used Gerwin's method on a 92" I had a while back. Worked good. Should have seen the look on my wife's face when she saw me rubbing the stick of butter on my hull.
