    Opening a Neu 1515

Is the front endbell glued on? Need to replace bearings soon.

How? Heat it up and pull out? Can you replace the frontbell bearing?

Sent it back to Steve and have him replace the bearings and pin the end bell. He has done this for me a a few of my motors and had them back to me in less than a week. He hasn't let me down yet.

In order to replace the front bearing you have to remove the rotor to get to it. Just make sure you keep track of the spacer washers so you put it all back together like the way it came out.

            Is this the proper procedure?

Thats one way to do it. I just tap the front shaft on a piece of wood untill the endbell pops off. After you take the motor apart make sure you clean were all the glue was on the endbell and reassemble using a good locktite. It really is pretty easy.
