    Reverse Pistix?

I believe a Pistix lets a Pistol TX mimic a stick transmitter. Is there a device that lets a stick transmitter mimic a Pistol TX?

A PiStix adapts the signal range of the A/C esc to within the range of a PG tx. An A/C esc likes 1.1ms to right around a 2ms range for a stick Tx but a PG Tx wants a 1.5ms to 2ms. Since the PG range is smaller then the A/C range there is no need for an adapter. It sees the entire pulse range. Is there another application you were thinking about?

You could enable the springs on your throttle stick.

If you really need a reverse PiStix, I can change the code in it for you. E-mail me andy at montanadesign.com

Well, the issue is the ESC's. Marine ESC's apparently are intended for Pistols. When the ones with automatic throttle adjustment (like my ETTI) start up, I end up with no throttle from half-stick down (I understand this) and a big jerk when I move the stick past half, then OK to full throttle. I can program the ESC and it works perfectly with my sticks until I disconnect the lipos for a new run. Then when the new lipos are installed and I try to run the boat, the ESC has forgotton about the programming, does an auto throttle adjustment, and I'm back where I started.

What I'd like to get is the full stick movement from low throttle to high throttle, like it would work in any airplane.

I can run Pistols if I have to, but it'd be neat if I could stay with my sticks (that I have used for about 40 years).

If it starts to make sense, Andy, I'll get in touch. The new Pistols have some of the same functionality that my JR 10X has so maybe I should just sigh and surrenter to the 21st century.

Have you tried programming the esc using the throttle options instead of letting it go into auto programing? Throttle option #2 sounds like its for a stick Tx.

I have a 10X at work. If that's what you're using then it can be done with a throttle curve in the transmitter. I forget if that's available in Acro mode - you might have to be in Heli mode. I can check. I hardly ever use the 10X, it's mostly for reference, but the place is crawling with Team JR guys and I'm sure I can get a minute from one of them.

PM me your phone number and I'll call you from work on Monday to walk you through it if you need help.
