I have the 8l 1600kv in my Shockwave 36 on 6s. Motor does get pretty warm from lack of effeciency but it has plenty of power! I'm running a 150a Turnigy and getting about 52-54 mph out of her. Weight will be an issue in whatever you put it in as the motor and jacket weight about 21oz. The last prop I used was a Octura x447.
Look at You Tube under Stinbro40 for my video.FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!Comment

Does anyone know if they can spin 50,000 rpm and not come apart ? Just incase for over rev .I am thinking about mounting up 580L 7L's in my 4 proped Conquest in the future, they should run more efficiently with 4 of them pushing a 42'' boat, for now I have ordered 4 KD 36 9 XL's to do the job. My goal for the boat is 60mph on 4s...80+ on 6s for starters. I am also leaning towards the Turnigy 180 marine ESC , for budget resones.
Anyones input for thought on this is appreciated. Thankyou."Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction."

Why spend twice the money on a twin when you can spend 4x the money on a quad! Just kidding, can't wait to see that puppy!FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!Comment
