This is what happens when you confuse the back straight as a boat docking area!
Tony (ProperChopper), Jan (UB hauled) and I were having a hydro fun run on Monday when I cut inside Tony and preceded to stop for some reason.
Tony had no where to go but through me, literally!
Luckily I was still able to run her back to shore under her own power before she took on too much water.
You can see the red mark where the on-coming hydro's left sponson hit my port sponson and went through the cockpit. Then the turn fin sliced through the port side towards the aft and the rudder through midship.
Luckily the slices were only on the upper deck and the hull was spared any damage. The floatation in the hull protected my batteries and all other vital organs were missed.
Anyone have any ideas about how best to repair the hole in the cockpit, since that piece is at the bottom of a lake? I believe the deck and hull are made of styrene. I think I can handle the other repairs where the deck was sliced.
I guess I learned my lesson: You have to keep that throttle pinned!
