    Proboat motor, normal behavier

    Hi guys
is it normal for a proboat motor should come to a dead stop when you release the throttle. Watch the attached video and you'll see what i mean.

The esc is an Aquacraft 40amp, is there a way of programming it so the motor has a softer stop mode?

Normal. Proboat makes a programmer for their ESC but not for Aquacraft. Aquacraft doesn't let you program their controller at all.'

Why are you worried about it?

Because it doesn't happen to any of the other guys running the same setup in our club.

The ESC is probably set with "BRAKE ON". If it were a proboat ESC you could use the programming card to turn the brakes off-- that is the way I have it set on my Fastech and it coasts normally...

Im gonna venture a guess that the prop doesnt come to a dead stop while in the water and the boat is moving when you release the throttle. I more than likely slows and "brakes" the boat.

It depends on the ESC... Sailr indicated the aquacraft ESC isn't programmable. In that case, you'd need a different ESC. Hardly seems worth it, though!

The prop does come to a complete stop in the water but obviously momentum keeps the boat moving.
Can't change esc's as its a spec racing class.
There must be a way to program it with the TX
