Just as i was getting ready to have 2 full days on running the fleet.

Good old mother nature to the rescue.

CYCLONE ULUI is about 600 klm off the coast.
She's a cat 2 cyclone with destructive winds of about 160 klm/h.
Batten down the hatches we are in for a show.

Id lived in Darwin my whole life 25 Years, and been through many cyclones up there, not really a big deal. Everythings made outa Concrete or Steel Structure etc.

Now i live in Queensland, and when ever one comes by and people get worried im like ahhhhh who cares, just another storm.

THEN I REMEMBERED ALL THESE HOUSES HERE ARE JUST WOODEN FRAMES WITH PLASTER AND A BIT OF PAINT!!!!

Yer i know its only a cat 2 cyclone but if you lived where i do you would be worried.
I live in one of those timber plasterboard paint houses.

This will be about my 6th cyclone ive been throw.
Not much fun.
And a big clean up later.

UPDATE:

Cyclone ULUI upgraded to cat 3.

Wind speeds of 190klm/h.

About 450 klm off the coast coming straight at us.

Here we go!!

Hope your establishment fairs well in the storm. Some times even the small one can give you a lashing now and again. And now it being a 3.. Its gettin some puch. If we woulda though of it sooner, you coulda sent the cats here for me to take care of.

Hey Ozzie you should have gone and epoxied Bonewar's house. Nothing would hurt it then !!!
Seriously though batten down the hatches and good luck. I know this sounds strange but the Murray Darling basin could do with this one coming inland as well. I know there is still flooding out there but seeing as it is already wet out there a bit more would be grate for the rivers
