Yes, usually caused by over-heating or over discharging. Something went wrong either with charger, or use. Perhaps even a bad cell. If it doesnt' go down in a day or so dispose of it.

I would suggest you dispose of it immediately in a safe manner as directed by the manufacturer. It is not a good idea to try and charge that battery or use it again, better safe than sorry.

The hard case has nothing to do with puffing - the "hard" packs can puff too, it's just harder to see.

It's probably worse if you can't see it...

This is copied from the Hobby City Web Site.

The warranty period for Lithium Polymer Batteries is 30 days unless otherwise stated.

I can not find any where that is say battery warrant - 12 months.

I know, but ZIPPY Flightmax are 12 months warranty, I l' do not have dream so.... Do you think that a new battery is inflated like this? For me, no.

I' m honest and a good customer, here's my last order, a set of 2 Turnigy 5800mAh 3S 25C, quality of Turnigy LiPo packs looks much better than ZIPPy

Where on there web site does it say 12 months warranty??

                        On another point,
I have always recommended to people to try and stay away from
packs with ODD number of cells for high AMP use.

There seems to be a problem with ODD # cell count packs when used for High AMP setups,
Very HIGH failure rate for 3S and 5S packs.
I know that the people racing 10S setups, have had better luck with 4S and 6S packs
in series then two 5S packs in series.
It has something to do with the way the cells are wired for ODD numbers.
There is a thread to this effect here on OSC.
I use 3S packs for my transmitters (Low Amp) with no problems.

I have a 2s Rhino 3700Mah and it swells up. I have not use it for quite sometime. I checked the voltage and it is showing 7.6v. What do you think is the cause? Should I dispose it/.
