I say YES, why not.
If you have a look at feew threds here on OSE you will see people just doing that. Converting to possible from Not Possible.

robert (lipo power) do you run your esc exposed ?. have heard the aq 60a esc is fully water proof and guys are running them exposed with no problems.

I run that controller exposed constantly,,,it has been under water numerous times with no issues. And converting a Dumas Hotshot to FE is completly viable...I say go for it. Dumnas makes a decent product.

It is a 24 inch hull, Just do not over power it and you will be fine.
