Sodering a small grease fitting onto the sv27 shaft?

Now I know it could be done just don't know if it would work. The plastic tubeing inside would stop the grease from getting to the shaft but what if I drilled some hole in the plastic lineing. Let me know your thoughts, because I hate taking out the flex shaft just to gease everytime. It would be super easy to use a grease gun while throttle is applied.

Regardless of what you don't like to do - removing, cleaning and greasing the flex shaft is a must. There is no way to get fresh grease to all of the shaft, and you still leave the water/grease emulsion in place. Result - rusted shaft breaks and you lose your shaft and prop. Get used to the required maintenance, it is in fact very quick and easy to do.

I like the idea of filling the crap out of the tube to stop leaks at the lake. I don't mind doing the up keep, just looking to add lube and sealent while I'm boating for the day.
