    Gps is more accurate than the speedometer in my car, therfore it is accurate enough for me to believe it when in my boat. I don't see how a couple guys with stopwatches would be more accurate, especially when factoring in reaction time and human error.

      I guess the GPS issue is an ongoing debate... I am just happy to see the boat skimming across the water and making my palms sweat!

            Interesting comment Mel279. I had heard somewhere that the DF practically does not need trim tabs. Maybe I will experiment with that at some point. I have two days left on the river for spring break so I aim to make the most of my time...
