OK, Not FE Related, But Very Cool!

Not FE or building boats, but pretty darn cool and FAST! My ears are still ringing.

Took the kids to an air show here in Portsmouth NH today. Great show, F-16, F-18, F-86, on and on.

Check out what happened to do a fly-by....a Stealth B2 Bomber! Awesome sight to see.

Just a great day with the family....this it what its all about, just wanted to share.

    Have a good one!

They do the same thing(pic #4) at the air show I go to, Its kind of funny, the prop plane is at full throttle, and the jet is idling. If only Orvil and Wilbur could see their invention now.

That Vought F-4U Corsair is awesome. They used to call that baby the Ensign eliminator...lol. That big alison engine and those gull wings made carrier landings neer impossible. But its over 450mph top speed made it one of the only aircraft that could chase down a kamikaze and blow it out of the sky on aproach... Very kewl stuff

          You nailed it SJFE.

The F-4U Corsair was an impressive performing plane, one I had seen in the hanger here but not flown before. It is owned here locally, York Maine.

They also had an extremely rare P-47 Thunderbolt, nicknamed the "whistling death" by the japanese in WWII. Kind of an odd nose cone shape, but that pratt & whitney wasp motor hummed along....or should I say "whistled" right along.

          All good. Love planes.

Actually, they called the F-4U Corsair, "Whistling Death" because its Double Wasp engine whistled when it went into a dive, caused by the wing-root inlets for engine air. It was a very remarkable aircraft, and my favorite! :D
